David Schwartz was the host of the Emelin Theatre Film Club from 2016-2020. He was the Chief Curator at Museum of the Moving Image in New York City, and received a Career Achievement Award from the New York Film Critics Circle for his 33-year tenure there. From 2020-2023 he worked with Netflix to program and manage the legendary Paris Theater in Manhattan. He has taught film history at Purchase College and New York University, was the program director of the Hamptons International Film Festival, and edited the book David Cronenberg: Interviews.
