Her solo career has moved freely through art rock, folk, classical music, and atmospheric pop. She wrote and performed “Going Home” for the Civil War film Gods and Generals, recorded arias and medieval Spanish music for Sony Classical, and created her own album-length interpretation of Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon. Her haunting sound is so distinctive that author Anne Rice referenced Fahl’s voice in her 2013 novel The Wolves of Midwinter.
Fahl’s recordings have earned an Indie Acoustic Award for Best Live Album for Live at the Mauch Chunk Opera House, which was filmed for PBS, as well as an Independent Music Award for Winter Songs and Carols. Her immersive release From the Dark Side of the Moon also received recognition for its surround-sound production.
Her latest album, Can’t Get It Out of My Head, is deeply personal: a collection of songs Fahl describes as part of her “musical DNA.” Reimagining music by Pink Floyd, George Harrison, the Moody Blues, ELO, the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, and others, the album reflects the artists and songs that helped shape her own musical identity. For audiences, the result is a concert experience that feels intimate, haunting, and unmistakably her own.
