Hailed by The New York Times as “virtuosos on clarinet and saxophone,” identical twin brothers Peter and Will Anderson bring together an all-star 15-piece orchestra for Big Band Royalty, a celebration of three giants who defined the sound of American jazz: Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and the “King of Swing,” Benny Goodman. Juilliard graduates and Washington, D.C., natives, the Anderson Brothers have headlined Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center, and performed live on A Prairie Home Companion. Their playing can also be heard on the Grammy-winning soundtrack of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire with Vince Giordano’s Nighthawks.
