Behind every great musical there is a leading lady, and four of Broadway’s finest leading ladies celebrate their roles by singing musical selections from Six The Musical; Waitress; Beetlejuice; The Color Purple; Beautiful: The Carole King Musical; The Light in the Piazza; Cats; Chicago; Crazy for You; Smokey Joe’s Café and more. Broadway Leading Ladies underscores the influence and indelible impression of the leading lady and was created just for the Emelin by producer and host, New York Casting Director Stephen DeAngelis, with Musical Director/Accompanist Asher Denburg.

(Dolly Levi); Once on This Island (Asaka); Dreamgirls (Effie); Cookin’ at the Cookery. Film: Teen Beach Movie (Big Mama).TV: “Team Toon”, “Nightcap with Jimmy”, “Divorce” on HBO, “Quantico”. She most recently appeared on the New York stage in the roles of Mdm. Squirrel and Hetty Muskrat in the special holiday production of Emmett Otter’s Jug Band Christmas.

ELIZABETH TEETER most recently starred as Lydia Deetz in the Broadway production of Beetlejuice the Musical. Other Broadway: Betty in The Crucible, (w/Saoirse Ronan); Young Elizabeth in The Audience (w/Helen Mirren); and Jane Banks in Mary Poppins. Off-Broadway: Lily in The Secret Life of Bees (Audelco nomination). Recent Regional: Liesl in The Sound of Music (The MUNY); Laura in The Glass Menagerie (TWSTL; St. Louis Theater Circle Award for role). Other regional including The MUNY, The Rep STL, Tennessee Williams Festival, Variety Theater, and more. TV/Film:’ Leaving’ (SAG short); guest star on “The Last O.G.” (TBS).

KENNEDY CAUGHELL was most recently seen playing Carole King in the Broadway and National Touring production of Beautiful: the Carole King Musical. Some of her favorite regional roles include Mary Poppins (Mary), White Christmas (Betty), Beauty and the Beast (Belle), Peter Pan (Peter), and Into the Woods (Little Red). She has performed across the nation and abroad as Heather in American Idiot, in the National tour of Wicked (Elphaba), on Broadway in Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812, and Paradise Square.

STEPHEN DeANGELIS

STEPHEN DeANGELIS (Producer/Host) has produced and created over 300 different Broadway concerts at venues in New York and across the United States featuring a multitude of Broadway stars including many Tony Award and Drama Desk Award winners and nominees, stars from hit television series and films whose roots are on stage, and Broadway’s fastest rising young performers. His vast contributions to stage and screen as casting director, director and producer, have resulted in mutliple award winning productions. Stephen began his career on stage performing in the National Tours of Godspell, Grease, Shenandoah and Hair and was the first Producing Artistic Director of the Shawnee Playhouse in the Poconos. He has been recently named the Producing Artistic Director of the new Pocono Center for the Arts scheduled to open in late 2024. Stephen is also committed to using his abilities, relationships and creativity in support of numerous charities including Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA), among many others.
