COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND PARTNERS
Through our community outreach efforts, we are able to provide access to the arts in a variety of ways:
- Our family shows attract over 3,500 adults and kids for music, theater, and dance.
- We have doubled the number of our school outreach programs and family shows over the past three years.
- We subsidize over 4,000 tickets to Westchester County Students for school outreach performances.
- We donate complimentary tickets to another 600 students, teachers, and aides from local Title 1 schools, including to the kindergarten and first graders at Mamaroneck Avenue School.
- We also provide hundreds of tickets to our local underserved communities through our community partnerships, like one with the Community Resource Center of Mamaroneck.
- We also continue to produce free summer concerts at Harbor Island Park, attracting over 6,500 neighbors since the pandemic.
COMMUNITY PARTNERS
In addition to building relationships with local businesses, schools, and organizations, the Emelin also feels a strong responsibility to provide an affordable venue to local art and non-profit organizations. This allows our community partners to fulfill their missions by presenting their programming to diverse audiences as well.
Recent partners include:
“When you support the Emelin, you support young artists who become tomorrow’s performers and patrons. … The Emelin provides top quality production and technical staff that allow us to provide our kids with a true professional theater arts experience. Two years ago, we started Artistree Community Theatre, a summer program for artists of all ages. This year we put on Guys and Dolls and had nearly a thousand audience members support local talent.”
