Volunteer at the Emelin

Thank you for your interest in our volunteer program. Emelin Theatre volunteers have the opportunity to share their skills and love of the arts as they connect with people of all ages and backgrounds. They do this in a fascinating environment, interacting with great people, and knowing that they are helping to create unique experiences that will surprise, delight, entertain, and educate.

Requirements:

  • Age 14 or older to work independently. Anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of their shift.
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Friendly, personable, and professional demeanor
  • Flexible to changing circumstances and pivoting on short notice
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs and/or stand for long periods of time (depending on the assignment)
  • Comfortable working in an environment with low lighting, loud sounds, or flashing lights

Volunteer Benefits:

Volunteers will receive several perks and benefits as part of our team. 

  • A seat to watch the concurrent performance once all patrons have been served, as available
  • Complimentary ticket to a performance for every 5 completed shifts
  • One free non-alcoholic beverage plus one snack at concessions per worked shift. Still water is always available while on shift.
  • 50% off purchased tickets for future events
  • Annual Volunteer appreciation party
