The Emelin School Outreach Program is back!

School Outreach tickets are now on sale. Please call 914.698.3045 for reservations, or email

Since 1997, the Emelin’s subsidized School Outreach Program has brought thousands of children into the theatre from a variety of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. For many, this is their first experience with live theatre. As budget cutbacks at schools have limited our arts education programs, the Emelin’s School Outreach Program fills a critical need.

The productions are predominantly based on children’s literature and represent a variety of educational, social and historical themes. All productions are tied to curriculum and are accompanied by study guides which teachers can incorporate into classroom discussion.

The Next Gen features Tortoise Junior and Lil’ Hare in a whole new kind of race; where their adventures lead them into unexpected territory. Old man Tortoise and Big Daddy Hare must come together despite their differences to find and save their children. What hurdles will they have to overcome to make it to the finish line?
