An exclusive talkback withScreenwriter/Director Ben Epstein moderated by Melissa Pianko\, Executive Producer and Mamaroneck resident\, will immediately follow the film. \nSixteen-year-old Alex Fixel has always felt out of sync; with her affluent Portland parents\, with her private school peers\, and with herself. When Alex’s parents interrupt her impetuous attempt to seduce her high school English teacher\, they plan to ship her off to boarding school. But before Alex leaves\, she finds an old letter in her mother’s desk indicating her biological father is not the man who raised her; instead he’s a small town mechanic — and former convict — named Karl Hendricks. Alex escapes her new boarding school and tracks down her father. Over the next week\, Alex and Karl’s fragile and volatile attempts at connection tenuously blossom into a sincere father-daughter bond… Until Alex discovers the devastating truth about her roots\, threatening to destroy both her old and new family. \n\n“Who Are You People is one of my favorite dramas of the year. Epstein’s plot is compelling\, and his character development is brilliant. But taking a step back\, the film represents the lives of real people who have made massive mistakes and are trying to move on as best they can.” – filmthreat.com \n\nBEN EPSTEIN is the writer and director of the feature film Who Are You People\, which was theatrically released by Gravitas Ventures in February 2023. Additionally\, he is the creator/ showrunner for two seasons of the hit Crackle series “In the Vault\,” and recently served as an Executive Producer of an upcoming Netflix spectacle series. SUMMARY:The 3 Ages
DESCRIPTION:BUSTER KEATON’s 3 Ages\n \n \n \n \n \n Wednesday\, January 18\, 2023 @ 6:30pm\nFree Screening!\n \n Free | RSVP Required\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 1923 | Comedy/Silent | 1hr 51m | Not Rated \nJoin us as we kick off the Mamaroneck Library’s Centennial Movie Series with a special free screening of Buster Keaton’s first feature film and one of the funniest comedies of the silver screen. \nThe rituals of courtship\, romantic rivalry and love play out three times as a Man (Buster Keaton) vies with a Villain (Wallace Beery) for the Girl (Margaret Leahy). In the Stone Age\, the rivalry is set off by dinosaurs\, a turtle used as a Ouija board\, and a round of golf with stones. In ancient Rome\, the men display their brawn through a chariot race\, using dogs instead of horses. In contemporary times\, the Man finds himself overcome by modernity\, including a very fragile car. \n“…filled with such wonderful visual wit…[Keaton’s] eye for comedic detail remains unparalleled.” – From The Front Row \nThe film will be accompanied by an original musical score created by Kurt Coble\, performed live by Kurt Coble on violin and Donald Sossin on piano. \nThis event is in partnership with the Mamaroneck Library’s Centennial Movie Series.Adults will enjoy a complimentary flute of champagne to toast the start of the Series. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n“Matt Schofield is widely considered one of the best blues guitar players walking the planet…” – Kevin Klein\, medium.com
