Please join us as we spend the evening of Saturday June 17th at The Emelin Theatre for the “Sing Louder” Benefit Concert. We will be celebrating five years of Kindness and The Charlotte Bacon Act of Kindness Awards (CBAoK). As an organization, Newtown Kindness, has touched the lives of so many individuals especially children by creating and implementing programs in honor of Charlotte Helen Bacon.
Newtown Kindness will be recognizing the past several years of accomplishments with an evening of Celebration and Introduction.
The Celebration will be a look back and will be supported by The Alternate Routes, a band from Fairfield, Connecticut, who created the song “Nothing More” for our organization and continue to create special music to stir the soul. The celebration will end with a rendition of the song “Home”, one of Charlotte’s favorites. It is through her love for this song, that many have been inspired to “Sing Louder”. The Bacons will share this special connection to the song which provided much comfort early in their journey and continues to this day.
The Introduction will be an intimate sharing with the Bacons as we launch the Charlotte Helen Bacon Foundation focusing on advocacy for therapy/comfort dogs, scholarships in Charlotte’s memory, as well as a unique and real pursuit related to grieving and bereavement initiatives.
This night will be full of so many wonderful moments of the human spirit as we reflect on the past and prepare for the future. Ending the night will be a timely encounter with the worlds brightest U2 cover band “Unforgettable Fire”. Come spend an evening full of music and message as we show each other what is capable when we work as ONE and SING LOUDER.
