Lucie has recovered, her illness is almost a distant memory. Her family encourages her to move forward, to live, to go and see the world. Because of this she encounters Clovis: he is charming… a true charmer… and dreadfully arrogant. Intrigued by Lucie’s frankness and quick wit, Clovis does everything he can to seduce her: but Lucie has no desire to be pushed into anything. When Lucie meets Dalila, a flamboyant dance teacher, she learns to love and to love herself again; to at last become the woman she has never known how to be. For her mother, for her daughter, for Clovis…

French films on the big screen are extremely rare in Westchester. This new series will feature one film every month for ten months, from September 2016 through June 2017, at the Emelin Theatre on Thursday nights at 8pm. Choose to come to one or any number of films, as your schedule allows.

French Movie Nights is a new concept to further ally French culture and the local community. It’s a great way to network with different people while enjoying the very best of the French and francophone Films available.

The 2016-2017 series will be a rich panel of French cinema produced in 2016 and will include such genres as comedy, drama, thriller, documentary and classic movie. All the movies will be in French with English subtitles. After the film, we will share a glass of wine, discuss the film and mingle with our neighbors. All films will be screened at the Emelin Theatre in Mamaroneck, NY.
